Sunday Worship Service
I love planning and leading worship. For me, being together as a gathered body is sacred art in motion. If you need a pulpit guest for one Sunday or for several, I would be delighted to find out how I can bring beauty and meaning to your congregation.
Altar Play
Learn to let your sanctuary preach before any words are spoken! Your Worship Team or group of faith leaders will learn basic design principles and get hands-on practice making a rich, layered worship experience. (2 hour, half-day or full-day retreats)
Blessing Book
We begin with readings and meditation on the theme of “blessings.” Each participant creates a hand-made, pop-up card that makes a 3-D meditation image or scene. (2 hour workshop: families, youth, adults)

Nested Beliefs
Carefully crafted writing prompts unleash surprising jewels of poetic statements that more deeply articulate sources or expressions of faith. These writings are folded into a gorgeous set of nesting origami boxes. (2 hour workshop for youth/adults/or families)

Transformed Threads
This workshop is both reflection and practice on the process of transformation. An iron heats and transforms Angelina Fiber threads into your own paper/fabric. This medium can then be layered, folded, sewn and embellished with beads or yarns. Use as exquisite cards or framed art. (2 hour, youth or adults)
Prayers in the Wind
Make personal, family or congregational Prayer Flags. The length of this workshop depends on how many people will be involved and how many flags are needed. Techniques and materials can be tailored to any age or to a multi-generational group. (2-4 hours)
For our Prayer Flag workshop Laurie was well prepared with an abundance of fabrics and other necessary supplies. She introduced us to the theme with poetry and reflection. We had a great time doing art together; it was a good jumping off point for us to think about other projects we’d like to do as a group. The Prayer flags turned out well; an assortment hangs in our meditation room. Every time I look at it, I'm reminded of Laurie's visit and the great time we had. I would recommend this workshop to other congregations because it isn’t difficult, there’s a chance for freedom of expression, and it produces something that can be displayed .
SoulScapes
What season or landscape illustrates your soul? I carefully select and prepare fabrics and guide the process so that almost anyone can learn this technique of layering fabrics to create an image that speaks the texture and color of one’s inner life. ( Half-day or full-day retreat / workshop for adults)
Wisdom Bag
What is wisdom and what treasures of wisdom have you gathered thus far? Make a simple, lovely bag to hold a journal, favorite writings, prayer beads… Perfect for a Coming-of-Age / Confirmation class, Seniors or Women’s groups.
